Job Description \n Job Title: Broadcast Automation Engineer Location: West London, UK Job Type: Full-time contract, 6 months Work Model: Hybrid \n Summary: \n This role focuses on automating gallery workflows for live broadcast environments, ensuring seamless support for live and near-live productions. \n Responsibilities: \n Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot automated rundown-driven workflows, including: \n o Vision mixer control \n o Graphics triggering \n o Clip and source recall \n Support live and near-live productions, ensuring automation behaves predictably during editorial and time-critical changes. \n Participate in testing, validation, and operational readiness for automation updates, templates, and gallery changes. \n Essential: \n Strong hands-on experience with Ross OverDrive and Caprica in live broadcast environments \n Proven understanding of newsroom-to-gallery workflows using OpenMedia, Ross Inception, and iNews \n Deep understanding of MOS workflows and editorial metadata flow \n Ability to diagnose and resolve issues across editorial, automation, and gallery layers during live output \n Desirable: \n Experience in news production environments \n Understanding of how graphics systems (VizRT, Chyron, Unity) integrate with studio automation \n Familiarity with template-based automation design and gallery standardisation \n Exposure to cloud technologies (AWS) and modern operational practices
