Location: Knutsford - 2/3 days a week
Duration: 6 months
Essential Skills:
- 7+ years of strong skills in creating automated acceptance tests using X-Ray, Selenium, Cucumber, Playwright, etc.
- Ability to analyze requirements and identify test scenarios.
- Keen eye for detail to identify issues and ensure thorough testing.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with standard DevOps tools: Jira, Bitbucket, Nexus, Confluence, Veracode, GitLab, etc.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, Python or JavaScript.
- Knowledge of API testing tools like Postman.
- Understanding of databases and SQL for validating Back End data.
- Ability to write scripts in Bash, PowerShell, or other scripting languages.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and participation in Scrum teams.
Desirable Skills:
- Computer Science degree or equivalent understanding of Computer Science, Object Oriented Design and Data Structures.
- Experience of working in an IT project environment preferably in banking or financial sector.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Ability to adapt to new tools, technologies, and methodologies.
- Willingness to keep up with industry trends and continuously improve skills.
Role Responsibilities:
- Create fully automated testing suite for Lending origination workflow based on Camunda.
- Participate in SCRUM ceremonies, update JIRA in timely fashion.
- Understand requirements and document test scenarios.
- Ensure features/user stories delivered with requirements under 100% automated test coverage.
- Write automated tests to standards in line with test strategy.
- Identify and raise system errors and work with developers and design team to ensure successful resolution of issues.
