Location: Knutsford - 2/3 days a week

Duration: 6 months

Essential Skills:

  • 7+ years of strong skills in creating automated acceptance tests using X-Ray, Selenium, Cucumber, Playwright, etc.
  • Ability to analyze requirements and identify test scenarios.
  • Keen eye for detail to identify issues and ensure thorough testing.
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with standard DevOps tools: Jira, Bitbucket, Nexus, Confluence, Veracode, GitLab, etc.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, Python or JavaScript.
  • Knowledge of API testing tools like Postman.
  • Understanding of databases and SQL for validating Back End data.
  • Ability to write scripts in Bash, PowerShell, or other scripting languages.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and participation in Scrum teams.

Desirable Skills:

  • Computer Science degree or equivalent understanding of Computer Science, Object Oriented Design and Data Structures.
  • Experience of working in an IT project environment preferably in banking or financial sector.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to adapt to new tools, technologies, and methodologies.
  • Willingness to keep up with industry trends and continuously improve skills.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Create fully automated testing suite for Lending origination workflow based on Camunda.
  • Participate in SCRUM ceremonies, update JIRA in timely fashion.
  • Understand requirements and document test scenarios.
  • Ensure features/user stories delivered with requirements under 100% automated test coverage.
  • Write automated tests to standards in line with test strategy.
  • Identify and raise system errors and work with developers and design team to ensure successful resolution of issues.
