Position: Indirect Tax Manager
Location: London, UK (3 days/week office)
Job Type: Contract (Inside IR35 PAYE)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Duration: Long-term 12 months
about the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Indirect Tax Manager to join our EMEA VAT Planning team. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders including business, finance, legal, accounting, and technology teams on a variety of strategic and operational initiatives-ranging from new product launches and subscription models to contract reviews and business restructures.
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum 7+ years of relevant tax experience, ideally gained within a Big Four accounting firm, law firm, or in-house corporate tax team.
At least 5 years of hands-on indirect tax experience, with a strong focus on services and international tax. Candidates with UK-only experience will also be considered if they demonstrate strong leadership principles.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner with business teams on new and ongoing projects to assess and define indirect tax requirements.
Collaborate with internal tax specialists (direct tax, transfer pricing, tax engine, compliance, and controllership) to build and implement effective tax solutions.
Provide indirect tax technical advice and support on business activities, particularly for service-based and international operations.
Review and influence contracts, operational structures, and product setups from an indirect tax perspective.
Communicate and coordinate with global stakeholders across the UK, EU, and US.
