Duration: 12 Months

Location: Leven, Scotland

Duties: The role is positioned in the Global Brands Supply, Project Engineering team providing Capital Project support to Manufacturing sites including liquid processing and packaging. The overall purpose of this project team is to deliver capital expenditure projects. For this role this includes:

  • Use specialist Control and Instrumentation experience to deliver capex projects to correct technical specification.
  • Development of requirement specifications in collaboration with other teams such as Operations and Maintenance.
  • Development of cost estimates and project schedules.
  • Co-ordinating and managing external resources.
  • Manage the project life cycle including capital approval, maintaining accurate financial data, spend, forecast and project closure.
  • Experience of maintaining and/or installing process control systems, process knowledge ideally gained from working within the fast moving consumer goods environment.
  • Manage construction activities and overseeing commissioning activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental standards.

Skills:

  • Process Control systems (hardware & software)
  • Experience in FMCG and in particular liquid packaging environments.
  • Project Management (including scope, cost, budget and timescales)
  • Health & Safety Management & co-ordination of contractors under CDM 2015 regulations
  • Ability to communicate effectively and proactively with customers and internal teams (including senior stakeholders) regarding plans, products, issues, timelines and solution value.
  • Knowledge of process plants would be advantageous
  • Knowledge of PRA's and CHAZOP/HAZOP/LOPA/SIL/SIS processes
  • DSEAR and PUWER experience and knowledge
  • Experience in end to end project management is essential
  • EC&I & Automation - ideal preferred candidate

Education: The role holder will have relevant education and experience in controls & instrumentation engineering. NEBOSH or similar H&S qualification.
