About the Role
We are looking for an experienced People Business Partner to provide trusted HR support and advice across a complex and fast-paced environment.
The role will focus on employee relations, HR projects, organisational development and people-focused programmes, while working closely with stakeholders to support effective people decisions and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide HR advice and support across employee relations matters, policies and UK employment law.
- Build trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels and provide practical, commercially focused HR guidance.
- Support and deliver HR projects, organisational development initiatives and people programmes.
- Analyse HR data and produce HR metrics, management information and data-driven recommendations.
- Support managers with employee relations, performance and people-related matters.
- Contribute to organisational change, transformation and culture initiatives.
- Support talent management, succession planning and workforce planning activities.
- Contribute to early careers and wider people development programmes.
- Support career architecture and grading frameworks where required.
- Manage multiple priorities and HR activities effectively within agreed timelines.
- Prepare reports, presentations and management information for stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with HR and wider business teams to deliver people-focused solutions.
Essential Skills & Experience
- CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience as an HR Advisor, Junior HR Business Partner or HR Business Partner.
- Strong employee relations experience.
- Sound understanding of UK employment law, HR policies and best practice.
- Experience delivering HR projects and organisational development initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills with experience producing HR metrics and management information.
- Ability to use HR data to provide data-driven recommendations.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Teams.
Desirable Experience
- Degree in Human Resources Management or a related discipline.
- HAY Job Evaluation accreditation.
- Experience with career architecture and grading frameworks.
- Experience supporting talent management, succession planning and workforce planning.
- Experience supporting early careers programmes.
- Experience leading organisational change, transformation and culture initiatives.
- HR experience within engineering, scientific, technical, energy, infrastructure, public sector or highly regulated environments.
- Strong HR analytics experience.
