Essential
- Knowledge and experience of working on safety related and/or high integrity software projects.
- Experience in working to relevant industry functional safety standards such as DO-178, IEC 61508 and EN50128 etc.
- Experience in relevant methods, tools and languages.
- Knowledge of the software development V-model life cycle.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to quickly build rapport with others.
- Self-motivated and able to use initiative.
- Organised, good time management and prioritisation.
- Methodical approach to work, with good attention to details and strong logic and reasoning skills.
- Willingness to learn new languages, skills and techniques.
Desirable
- Degree qualified in software engineering or related/relevant subject.
- Experience in Ada, SPARK, static analysis and formal methods.
- Chartered Engineer and member of the IEEE or BCS.
- Experience in at least one of the following markets: aerospace, transport, defence, rail, automotive.
