Role Summary The successful candidate will be responsible for exceeding client expectations through superior implementation, delivery and management of IFRS and UK GAAP accounting, operational and reporting solution. The candidate is required to give advice on the current IFRS and UK GAAP standards to ensure conformance with requirements of each of the client project(s) and client user expectations. Assist sales team during opportunity assessment and proposal phases of the service delivery process, particularly as it relates to deployment approach, timeline and deliverables. We are seeking a motivated and adaptable individual to join our well established and renowned client.Responsibilities Support client transformation team by the provision of subject matter expertise in delivering key IFRS and UK GAAP project milestones and objectives.Work closely with stakeholders in implementing the project and provide direction as necessary with the overall objective being to ensure that IFRS and UK GAAP reporting is delivered through Finance platform.Research, assess, analyse and document financial reporting and operational requirements for IFRS standards, as required by the client project.Assist in identifying, developing, testing and implementing IFRS accounting operational and reporting solutions to meet financial and regulatory reporting requirements, map financial reporting processes and modify control procedures, as required.Track progress on IFRS issue identification and resolution.Prepare and consolidate IFRS related issues and procedural training documentation.Provide support in documenting current processes and new IFRS requirements.Apply understanding of current reporting processes and develop in depth understanding of IFRS requirements to provide necessary training and support to reporting financial reporting team and other finance segments groups, as required.Experience Essential Proven record of high performance and substantial achievements in your past positions.A thorough knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP is importantTrack record of interacting and building relationship with CXO level client contactsExceptional analytical and quantitative problem solving skills.Demonstrated leadership ability in a team environment.Initiative taker, eager to break new ground, create opportunities for others.Willingness to take personal risks – as seen through leadership roles – in work environment.Ability to work effectively with people at all levels in an organization.Skills to communicate complex ideas effectively.Prior work experience of 8-15 years in a similar roleDesirable skills include Organised – You are highly organized and are constantly on the lookout to improve the way you work.Collaborative – You seek first to understand and then to be understood.
