Job Description

• Support UK VAT advisory for (i) on‑going business and compliance activities in the UK, (ii) new UK initiatives, and (iii) occasional Pan‑EU Retail Business and Regulatory projects.
• Support the delivery and implementation of VAT requirements triggered by new retail or regulatory initiatives and provide technical advice to the UK VAT Compliance team when needed.
• Interact daily with teams across the broader tax organization, including the Tax Engine and Taxonomy Team, various Business Teams, and Support Teams such as Legal, Finance, and Accounting.
• Review agreements, especially for UK real estate transactions, determine VAT rates for complex products, and answer operational VAT questions raised by finance, accounting and other operational teams.

Candidate Requirements

• Recognised professional tax qualification, chartered accountant, or relevant law degree.
• Previous experience in the retail and/or e‑commerce sectors, including product UK VAT liability determination, is desirable.
