Job Name: Business Analyst Level 5.

Project commentary: The PRA Outsourcing project is a regulatory-driven initiative to ensure compliance with relevant standards. This SS outlines PRA\’s expectations for firms regarding outsourcing and third-party risk management.

The aims of this SS are to:

  1. Complement requirements on operational resilience, including PRA Rulebook SS1/21 and the Statement of Policy on operational resilience.
  2. Facilitate greater resilience and adoption of cloud and new technologies, as outlined in the Bank of England\’s response to the \’Future of Finance\’ report.
  3. Implement the EBA \’Guidelines on outsourcing arrangements\’ (EBA Outsourcing GL), clarifying PRA\’s expectations and expanding on chapters related to data security and business continuity.

This SS is relevant to:

  • UK banks, building societies, and PRA-designated investment firms;
  • Insurance and reinsurance firms and groups under Solvency II, including Lloyd\’s and managing agents;
  • UK branches of overseas banks and insurers (third-country branches).

Essential skills/experience: Experience in testing and running tests is advantageous, including writing/reviewing test plans or scripts, supporting UAT, triaging defects, and seeing testing through to go live.
