Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Playworker to join the team at Warlingham Primary School on a permanent basis. This rewarding role involves supporting our before and after school provision. We are ideally seeking someone who can cover three afternoon sessions (3:00 – 6:30pm on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and 2:00 – 6:30pm on Fridays) and some morning sessions each week 07:15-08:45). The specific days can be flexible for the right candidate. If you’re passionate about working with children and creating a fun, safe, and engaging environment, we’d love to hear from you.

Your Opportunity: The before and after School Club at Warlingham Village Primary School provides quality childcare for children. We are looking for someone to join our team on a part time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will be prepared to work hard and respond positively to the challenges of day-to-day school life and be a strong team player.

Responsibilities

  • Be able to develop positive relationships with young children
  • Have an interest in the play needs of children
  • Be able to participate in a variety of activities including arts and crafts, cooking, and other indoor and outdoor games.
  • Be proactive, using their own initiative to differentiate activities to ensure full inclusion for all abilities and ages.
  • Be able to stay calm and objective when presented with unusual or challenging behaviour and circumstances
  • Be enthusiastic and motivated and committed to working as part of a team

About Warlingham Village Primary School, part of the Chalklands Cluster

Our School sits within an established cluster of Primary schools, overseen by a Regional Director. Start Date: ASAP

Salary: GLF Associate 1 – £22,918.66

Actual Salary: £8,538.32 (based on 16hrs per week)

Hours of work: Up to 16hrs per week
