Overview
Rowanfield Junior School – Teaching Assistant
Contracted hours per week: 20 hours (9am-1pm). Working weeks per year: 38 weeks (term time only). Contract type: Permanent. Pay: TA Level 2 qualified – Grade 3 (Starting Salary £11,383); TA Level 3 qualified – Grade 5 (Starting Salary £12,179). Closing Date: 22 February 2026. Interview Dates: 27 February 2026. Start date: ASAP.
Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 support for pupils with SEND.
- Deliver a high standard of care and support for pupils with communication difficulties.
- Work under the direction of the SENDCO to implement individualised support strategies.
- Support pupils with Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs).
- Liaise with teaching staff to help pupils access the curriculum, adapting materials and approaches to suit individual learning needs.
- Promote inclusion and encourage independence in learning and social development.
