Overview of the Library Assistant position at The Commonweal School. Working 10 hours per week Monday and Tuesday 8am – 1pm (or 8.30am – 1.30pm). Permanent contract. Salary is NJC Scale [J2] £24,448 per full‑time equivalent, inclusive of pay award for April 2025. Actual salary £5,658 for 10 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support to pupils and teachers working in the library.
- Run day‑to‑day tasks involved in running the library.
- Promote literacy across the school and help to create an inclusive and inspiring space for reading, research and reflection.
