The Clinical and Educational Therapy Assistant position is primarily based at William Morris School, Eastington but also supports at Cotswold Chine School, Nr Minchinhampton and the surrounding homes. The Clinical and Educational Therapy Assistant works as part of a well-established, multi-disciplinary therapy team, supporting within the different settings across the charity, such as within the education, therapy and residential care settings.
Responsibilities
- Supporting children in their therapy goals and taking part in group sessions.
- Assisting with the delivery of individual goal work and therapy programmes with pupils, as devised by the therapist, to support their development.
- Helping pupils to develop confidence and engagement in learning by supporting the implementation of therapeutic strategies and approaches throughout the school day, reducing barriers to learning.
- Working collaboratively with the education and therapy teams, sharing observations and supporting the consistent implementation of strategies across settings.
- Contributing to the monitoring of pupils’ progress by providing feedback to therapists and teachers, ensuring joined up support.

Requirements
- The role would ideally suit a psychology degree graduate or health and social care sciences graduate.
- Option of 39 or 52 week contract.
