Overview

Bryn Coch ClubBryn Coch Club a registered CIO #1196346 (Wales) is a happy and successful club located within the grounds of the hugely popular Ysgol Bryn Coch and is looking to recruit additional Playworkers for our before and after school team. Various hours and positions available between 7.45am and 6.00pm, term time only. Hourly rate – NLW. We need individuals who will create a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for our children and ensure high quality care.

Responsibilities

  • Appropriate care, control and supervision of pupils in before / after school care
  • Helping with breakfast / afternoon snack duties
  • Providing opportunities for play and learning which encourage all areas of development
  • Ensuring health and safety needs of each individual child are met. Where appropriate administer first aid.
  • Ensuring that each child’s wellbeing is met and they thrive in a safe environment
  • Engaging the children in suitable age-appropriate play activities

Person Specification

  • Recognised Childcare/Playwork qualification or willingness to complete
  • Previous experience of working with children 3 – 11 years
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexible and able to adapt to changing demands
  • Able to work constructively as part of a small team
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle information sensitively
  • Enhanced DBS check

All staff are expected to

  • Undertake training as required
  • Support and contribute to the club’s responsibility for safeguarding students
  • Maintain high professional standards of attendance, punctuality, appearance and conduct
