2 x Temporary Teaching Assistants
Start Date: April 2026
Salary: Β£17,101 - Β£17,370 (per annum, subject to term time adjustment).
Part Time: 39 weeks. Hours: 30.00. Salary: Grade 2, SCP 2-3. Mon β Fri 8.15 am to 2.45 pm (includes a 30 minute unpaid lunch).
The Governing Body is seeking to appoint 2 Teaching Assistants for 30 hours per week. The successful candidates should have good Literacy and Numeracy skills to support teaching and learning in KS3 and KS4. These posts will be working with ALN pupils in a mainstream school.
The successful candidate duties will include:
- Working alongside teachers to support access to learning for pupils;
- Establishing good relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and setting high expectations;
- Supervising and supporting pupils ensuring their safety and access to learning;
- Encouraging pupils to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher;
- Assisting with the preparation of teaching materials and resources;
- Supporting a range of additional learning needs;
- Using a person centred approach to support students.
