Based at Carlisle Infant School, we are looking for a caring and committed person to join our lunch leader team. Our team provides a positive environment for our children whilst in the lunch hall and engaged in activities outside, helping them to be set and ready to enjoy learning in the afternoon.
Carlisle Infant School is a creative, oversubscribed three form entry Infant school, well supported by parents, governors, and the local community. We serve an extremely diverse community and rise to the challenges that brings. We offer well-behaved and inquisitive pupils, a creative curriculum, and a supportive and dedicated staff. In addition, we provide the opportunity to develop links within our federation with Hampton Hill Junior School. Partnership with parents is at the heart of our caring, thriving school.
At Carlisle Infant School, we take the safeguarding of children extremely seriously. All applications will be thoroughly scrutinised to prevent unsuitable adults from working with our children. All selection processes are designed to identify and reject anyone who is unsuitable for work with children. At least one member of our selection panel will have attended a safer recruitment training course and gained certification. All staff working at Carlisle will be subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check before taking up post. There is a culture of ongoing vigilance that ensures children are safe and secure with the adults they come into contact with at all times. References will be sought and checked, and all staff are fully aware of the actions they should take if they have any concerns about the behaviour of a fellow staff member towards children.
Responsibilities:
- Support the lunch leader team by providing a positive environment for children in the lunch hall and supporting activities outside.
- Help set and prepare children for learning in the afternoon.
Qualifications and requirements:
- A DBS check (Enhanced) is required before taking up post.
- At least one member of the selection panel will have attended a safer recruitment training course and gained certification.
- References will be sought and checked; staff are aware of actions to take if concerns arise regarding colleagues’ behaviour towards children.
