Kingsbrook School are recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant to join our Education team to start in September 2025. We are looking for versatile, resilient and committed Learning Support Assistants, who can adapt their practice wherever necessary to support across all key stages. The successful candidate will work alongside the class teacher, assisting the children with their work and supporting with pupil behaviour while establishing good relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and responding to individual needs.

Kingsbrook School is a small specialist independent school for 11-18 year old students with social, emotional, mental health difficulties and complex learning needs. Kingsbrook School is a unique setting within a small holding, so a love of animals is a must. Experience of working with students with complex needs is preferable as is a good understanding of the emotional and attachment needs of children.

The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience supporting in a classroom setting, however this is not required.
Responsibilities- Support across all key stages by assisting the class teacher with children’s work and behaviour management.
- Establish good relationships with pupils, act as a role model and respond to individual needs.
- Adapt practice to support diverse needs and contribute to a positive learning environment.
- Resilience to support vulnerable children with emotional/behavioural difficulties, autism, ADHD and related needs.
- Strong communication and teamwork to relay important information to staff.
- Excellent organisational skills to support the class teacher and learners.
- A caring and compassionate approach with a commitment to pupil well-being.
- Attentiveness to understand tasks and identify where support is needed.
