Applications are invited from a suitably qualified, energetic and efficient support staff for the post of Cover Supervisor at Wolverley CE Secondary School. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be required to advance student learning in a range of classroom settings, which could mean working across all Key Stages, in any subject, with individual students, small groups or whole classes. Cover supervision is a responsible role, involving taking sole charge of a group of students. You must be highly dependable, empathetic, and have a professional outlook. There is a need to have excellent behaviour management abilities, to remain calm in difficult situations, as well as to be diplomatic, relatable, personable, compassionate, and the desire to create a positive learning environment.
Ideally, this is a full-time post, however, part time hours would be considered for the right applicant. The successful applicant will ensure they encourage and motivate students to complete set work to the best of their ability, providing excellent opportunities for them to learn in the absence of their teacher. The role will also include supporting students within the classroom, under the direction of the class teacher. There may also be the possibility of additional overtime, depending on the needs of the school.
