We’re looking for a kind, caring and proactive part-time Teaching Assistant to join our friendly village school. St Mary’s is a one-form entry primary with a strong community feel, motivated and eager children, and a genuinely supportive staff team (who also happen to love cake!). This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a well-resourced school with a lovely atmosphere, where your initiative and rapport with children will be truly valued.
Responsibilities
- Has a pragmatic approach, a sense of initiative, and a warm, approachable manner.
- Can build positive relationships with children across all age groups, especially in Key Stage 1.
- Is able to support pupils in class and lead small group or individual interventions, including for children with SEND.
- Is flexible, motivated, and ready to get stuck in to help move children’s learning forward.
- Has experience working with children in a school setting (desirable but not essential).
- Might have a hobby or talent they’d be happy to share through an after-school club (again, not essential—but we love a bit of extra sparkle!).
