Are you a passionate and qualified Careers Advisor looking to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young people? Kingshill School is seeking a dedicated Career Co‑ordinator to join our dynamic team and drive transformational change in Career Education, Information, Advice, and Guidance (CEIAG). We pride ourselves on our exceptional progression rates, consistently achieving 98‑100% over the past four years, reflecting our commitment to impartial and supportive guidance for students.
Our aim is to provide all students with valuable experiences of the workplace and encounters with diverse employers throughout their educational journey from Years 7 to 11.
Key Responsibilities- Provide one‑to‑one and small group individual advice and guidance (IAG) interviews for students in Years 7‑11 to support their progression towards post‑16 education, apprenticeships, or employment.
- Identify and assist students at risk of becoming NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) through targeted support and collaboration with external agencies.
- Coordinate and deliver a comprehensive careers programme, including the annual Careers Convention, mock interviews, and employability workshops.
- Maintain effective relationships with local employers and educational providers to facilitate work experience placements and career events.
- Manage the careers budget and oversee the day‑to‑day operations of the Careers Library, ensuring relevant and current resources are available.
- Qualified Careers Advisor with a Level 6 Diploma in Career Guidance and Development or pursuing this qualification.
- Show demonstrable experience in providing impartial careers advice to young people, preferably in an educational setting.
- Familiarity with UK post‑16 pathways, including A‑levels, T‑levels, vocational qualifications, and apprenticeships.
- Strong understanding of the Gatsby Benchmarks and relevant statutory guidance for careers education.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills with a proactive approach to supporting students.
- Empathetic and approachable, able to build trust and rapport with students, parents, and staff alike.

Hours of Work: 27.5 - 32 hours per week, ideally working between 8.15am - 3.10pm, however hours are negotiable for the right candidate, core hours of work are 9.00am - 3.10pm, 5 days a week, Monday to Friday. Hours include a 20 minute paid break (if working over 4 hours) and 30 minutes unpaid.
