Venturers Academy are looking for a bank Teaching Assistant to inspire confidence, spark progress and make every day meaningful, supporting pupils to thrive in a nurturing, specialist SEND environment where individuality is celebrated and potential is unlocked.

Key responsibilities:
  • Provide tailored support to students with Autism Spectrum Condition, both in the classroom and through targeted interventions.
  • Support individual and small groups of students to access learning, following teacher planning and guidance.
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation using consistent, trauma-informed and autism-aware strategies.
  • Build strong, respectful relationships that support students’ confidence, independence, and wellbeing.
  • Assist in the implementation of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and personalised learning strategies.
  • Support personal care needs where required, with dignity and respect.
Pay range: SCP 8 - £13.90 FTE - £26,824.00
Qualifications:
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics at Grade 4/C or above.
  • A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable).
  • A commitment to supporting children and young people with SEND, particularly Autism Spectrum Condition.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team and under the direction of teaching staff.
  • Strong communication skills and a calm, patient, and flexible approach.
