Designer Engineer – Retail Display & Activation (Luxury Brands)
Yep… us again! Our team continues to grow and we\’re in need of Designer Engineering wizard!
PLEASE only apply if you have 5+ years DIRECT experience in our world of Visual Merchandising and Retail Design Engineering. We aren\’t being horrible or trying to put you off but the studio is very busy and we need someone who knows the world of luxury brands and can hit the ground running and help us steer our little rocket ship as we grow.
Who we\’re looking for:
We\’ve gone from a team of 3 to a team of 16 in the past 2.5 crazy years and it doesn\’t seem to be slowing. As a small team, we\’re looking for an experienced Design Engineer who is comfortable with taking projects and running with them!
If you want to simply do CAD, or be fed tasks by a manager, this probably isn\’t the role for you. However, if you want control of projects, the autonomy to experience all facets of the business and an environment that heroes proactive decision making and collaboration, then GET IN TOUCH!
The Role Now (ish!)
40% Solidworks engineering and design
20% Project Administration (logistics, art working, internal meetings, installation, QC visits etc)
Key responsibilities:
- CAD Engineering with the key aims of value, function, creativity, sustainability and innovation.
- Direct client and supplier liaison.
- Technical drawing and development.
- Supplier visits and quality control.
- Project management (getting the job done with maximum efficiency and service to the brands you work with).
- Working quickly whilst maintaining a logical, thorough approach.
- Experience with the management of your own projects and collaborating with more junior members of a team to work as a team to expedite projects.
- Deep understanding of materials and manufacturing processes.
- Adobe Suite for art working is a bonus but not necessary.
- Being resourceful and using initiative to GET THE JOB DONE.
- Seeing and solving problems BEFORE they happen.
- CARING about what you do, and how you do it.

Hybrid Working:
3 days in the studio, 2 days from home.

Salary – Dependant on experience. PLEASE let us know your salary expectations on application, we\’re looking to expand the engineering team further so we\’re open to varying levels of experience from 5 years upwards.
All team members have a 1% addition to wage per annum for personal development. Think Audiobooks, magazines, events, courses, gallery visits etc)

25 Days Holiday + National Holidays + Your Birthday and one extra day for every year of service completed.
Bonus Scheme – Up to 20% of your annual base salary paid quarterly (after successfully completing probation)
Summer Hours – Finish at 2pm on Fridays in July & August.
Team outings and events throughout the year (normally centered around our quarterly business presentations followed by an event visit, food or drinkies).
