The Project Lead is a pivotal new role as we grow the business and increase the amount of complex projects coming through the studio, so direct experience of project managing and account management of retail and VM projects is key. The day to day of this role will be managing the team who are responsible for completing projects ensuring they are hitting deadlines and giving clients the best possible service. A key part of this role is also being able to liaise with new and existing clients to bring in new business and increase revenue. Keeping our projects on budget and working closely with the finance department to ensure margin and revenue targets are hit will be down to you!
Projects in the studio can range in scope from a ‘design only’ project through to global rollouts of VM props, a bespoke window scheme or an experiential activation space (and everything in between) so there’s plenty of exciting work to get stuck into!
Ideal Experience- 5+ years of experience in project management within retail design, visual merchandising or associated creative industries (agency or brand side)
- 5+ years of experience in account management within retail design, visual merchandising or associated creative industries (agency or brand side)
- Experience in the luxury or premium retail industry with an understanding of all touch points from window displays to pop up shops, brand activations and POS.
- Specific knowledge of beauty and skincare would be a major plus.
- Managing full store fit outs beneficial
- Experience working with major retailers and department stores in the UK and internationally.
- Previously has led and managed a small team
- Manufacturing and supplier knowledge
- Acting as a vital link between clients and the Etch studio, attending and arranging meetings to drive new business.
- Provide an industry leading level of service to our client base ensuring projects are delivered successfully, on budget and to deadline.
- Guarding overall project budget to meet profitability targets, increasing revenue to hit team and company targets.
- Managing the team ensuring their successful development and mentoring junior staff.
- Exploring new business opportunities with clients, generating enquiries and sales.
- Strong understanding of project management in retail builds
- Proven experience in creating and building client relationships and driving sales
- Analytical skills, forward thinking, focus on driving business
- Communication skills (internally and with clients)
- Project management software experience (we use Scoro)
- G-Suite, Adobe CS, CAD packages all a bonus!
