Commodities Regulatory Counsel

Our client are one of the world\’s leading energy and commodities groups. Established over 20 years ago they now turnover in excess of $170 billion. They trade most energy and commodity products, have a very successful asset focused arm of the company and invest heavily in the energy transition.

They are now looking to recruit a Commodities Regulatory Counsel for their busy London office.

The successful candidate for this role will play a key role leading on global commodities regulatory advice. They will have experience of MIFID, MIFIF II, REMIT, EMIR, MAR and other regulations which impact the commodities trading business. They will be able to build successful relationships across the legal team and business units.

The successful candidate is likely to have at least 8 years of professional experience and be qualified in either England & Wales or another Common Law jurisdiction. In-house experience at an energy / oil and gas company or competitor would be helpful but individuals in law firms will be considered.
