We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Purchasing Manager to report to the Head of Purchasing and lead procurement across refurbished IT stock and sales order fulfilment operations within the purchasing function, with direct responsibility for managing and developing a section of the team. This role is based on‑site in Dalbeattie, the operating hours are typically 9.00–17.30.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies that support organisational objectives
  • Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability
  • Maintain optimal stock levels to avoid production stoppages or excess inventory
  • Monitor lead times and shipping to ensure smooth and efficient operations
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with vendors
  • Prepare and manage procurement budgets and cost reports
  • Work closely with sales, products, planning, and warehouse teams to align operations
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to operational flow
  • Monitor supplier performance and manage supplier relationships
