Our client’s HGV Drivers do more than a ‘driving job’. It’s about driving quality and ensuring their customers get the best impression of their organisation. You will be the ‘face’ of the business, not just a Delivery Driver. It’s all about making a good impression with your appearance, manner and the look of your vehicle. Ensuring goods are delivered in a first-class condition, completing all necessary paperwork and above all, leaving everyone you meet with a really positive impression of you and their business. You will be responsible for ensuring your vehicle is clean, safe and your load is legally roadworthy. Carrying out multi-drop deliveries in a timely and safe manner, from 2 – 5 runs expected per day. Working with a variety of different companies, meeting the challenges of an ever more demanding industry.  QUALITY DRIVER’S Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Hard hats are provided and MUST be worn at all deliveries Arrive at work with all necessary PPE Do full vehicle checks at least 15 – 20 mins  Call in if running late for assignment or any client/customer issues Communicate any technical issues  Comply with contractual agreement at all times  Good communication with customers – ETA in advance  Download Digital Tacho Card – Weekly (employed / remote workers) Avoid tachograph infringements and report unforeseen circumstances Accept liability for ‘clear fault’ parking or driving fines (that don’t relate to expected duties) – decisions made at the company’s discretion MUST contact the team regarding ANY client service issues or client’s customers non-conventional requests Supervise the loading of the vehicle so that products are safely loaded and secured to minimise chances of damage Ensure with the Transport Manager and Loader that the load is correct against the customers’ orders Ensure that on arrival the delivery is safe to make and respect customer’s property; if in doubt, consult with customer and/or Transport Manager  Check goods off with customers and obtain signatures and print Loading and unloading of goods from vehicles    Follow specific company policies relative to safety and compliance Drive within the tachograph law and driver hours limits  Wash truck once a week Maintain the cleanliness of the driving cab   Report any accidents as soon as possible and in compliance with the company’s accident reporting procedure Engage with company Training program  Adhere to all company policies and procedures, to include the Company Standards of Performance and Health and Safety Policy Essential Requirements: You must hold a current CAT C Lorry Loader licence No more than 6 points on your licence Hold a current DQC and Digital Tachograph card Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience    Excellent verbal communication  Ability to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers Diligent attention to detail  Ability to work under pressure Flexibility Agree to Initial Assessment / Induction program Agree to ongoing CPD Training program and attend essential training where required Essential Behaviours:  Act in a calm and professional manner at all times  Be upbeat, proactive and positive, with a ‘can-do’ attitude  Be professional and presentable at all times  Have a flexible approach to work and changing circumstances  Willingness to work extended or unsociable hours during peak periods If you meet the criteria above and you like the sound of working for an independent, well respected driver supplier, then apply now and complete our client’s short questionnaire which should take around 15 minutes.
