About the Position
As a Technical Sales Specialist, you will have primary responsibility for the sales of the company’s customer-specific products and components. This is a key role in ETAL's continued growth, as you will develop relationships with both existing and new customers. Each customer-specific component is uniquely designed for every project and then manufactured in one of the company’s production facilities. Your work will therefore involve prospecting, customer visits, administrative tasks, participation in trade fairs, and close collaboration with engineers, production staff, and the customer’s internal teams. You will be part of a team that currently includes sales representatives both in the UK, across Europe and the USA, and you will report to the Sales Manager in Sweden.
At ETAL, you will join a committed team where you will work independently but also in close collaboration with other salespeople throughout the entire sales cycle, with teamwork at the core. Here, you will have the opportunity to combine your technical expertise with business acumen to create value for customers.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Overall responsibility for the entire sales cycle, from initial contact to final agreement and delivery.
- Responsibility for and ownership of your own sales budget.
- Connecting the customer’s technical needs with ETAL's specialized solutions in magnetic components.
- Building and maintaining long-term relationships with new and existing customers. The sales territory covers the entire UK.
- Acting as an advisor and key contact for the customer.
- Understanding and analyzing customer needs and requirements, both functional and technical, and proposing customized product solutions in collaboration with ETAL's design and development teams.
Qualifications and Characteristics
To succeed in this role, we believe you have a genuine technical interest, a solution-oriented mindset, and a strong ability to build long-term customer relationships. You are patient and capable of handling long sales cycles while establishing trust with customers. You enjoy working both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues to drive sales forward. The role involves being involved throughout the entire project lifecycle, from the first customer contact to final delivery, acting as the link between the customer, engineers, and production. This requires excellent communication skills and the ability to balance technical details with business value. The position includes travel, mainly within the UK. Most trips are day trips, with approximately two overnight stays per month on average.
In addition, we are looking for someone who has:
- Approximately 5–10 years of experience in technical B2B sales, for example within electronics, pumps, or fans.
- Strong communication skills in English, spoken and written.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Willingness and ability to travel as part of the role.
- Technical education or background (meritorious).
Additional Information
Start: By agreement
Location: England. You can be based in either the Midlands, Northern England or Southern England
