As a Junior Engineer on the Server team, you'll work in a small agile environment to design, develop, and support backend services for FuturLab’s Live Service infrastructure, collaborating closely with game teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop new features and fix bugs in existing backend services.
- Create brand‑new services to support feature requirements from game client teams.
- Design and implement database schemas.
- Monitor existing services in production.
- Write tests across unit, integration, and load suites.
- Provide web development support to the studio.
- Maintain service documentation on the internal wiki.
Requirements
Required knowledge:
- C# and .NET
- Object‑oriented programming (OOP)
- SQL/NoSQL
- RESTful API design
Desirable experience:
- Azure / AWS
- Docker
- Terraform
- Grafana
- Game development concepts
Additional qualifications:
- Proactive contribution to pull requests and documentation.
- Inquisitive mindset, asking questions about code and processes.
- Flexible, comfortable with an agile team and occasional on‑call duties.
