We are recruiting for an experienced Sous Chef to join the kitchen team of a well-established hotel in Windsor. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate chef who enjoys working in a busy hotel environment, delivering high-quality buffet-style food across breakfast, lunch and dinner service. Working closely with the Head Chef, you'll help lead the kitchen, maintain exceptional food standards and support the development of the wider brigade.

The Role

  • Support the Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen
  • Prepare and deliver fresh, high-quality buffet-style food for breakfast, lunch and dinner
  • Ensure buffet presentation is consistently maintained throughout service
  • Lead the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef
  • Supervise, train and develop junior chefs
  • Monitor food quality, portion control and stock levels
  • Minimise waste while maintaining high standards
  • Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene and health & safety regulations
  • Work closely with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth service

About You

  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef or an experienced Junior Sous Chef within a hotel environment
  • Confident producing high-volume buffet service while maintaining quality and consistency
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills
  • Passion for fresh food and attention to detail
  • Good knowledge of food safety and HACCP
  • Calm under pressure with a proactive, hands-on approach
