We are currently recruiting for an experienced and passionate Chef Manager to lead a busy education catering operation serving approximately 800-900 students and staff daily. This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong kitchen leader who can manage both food production and team operations within a fast-paced school environment.
The Role:
- Leading and managing a catering team of 9 including: 1 x 2nd Chef, 8 x General Assistants
- Planning, preparing, and delivering fresh, high-quality meals daily
- Managing kitchen operations, stock control, ordering, and food costings
- Ensuring all food hygiene, allergen, and health & safety standards are met
- Driving high standards of food quality, presentation, and customer service
- Training, motivating, and developing the catering team
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and compliant kitchen environment
About You:
- Previous Chef Manager or senior catering management experience
- Experience within education, contract catering, or high-volume hospitality preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Financially aware with experience managing budgets
