About The Role
What's the role?
To deliver expert technical knowledge on electrical designs.
Oversee team activities, be a business point of contact, represent the team and stand in for the Electrical Design Manager when required.
To be part of a team of engineers to improve the electrical design for power transformers by applying leading edge engineering methods and solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce Electrical Design of Transformers and Reactors up to 132k V Transformers as per Scope of Work.
- Produce Bills of materials and upload on PDM system.
- Check colleague designs and manufacturing documents/specifications to comply with customer requirements.
- Check and approve supplier offers and drawings.
- Actively work on continuous improvement of Transformer design and optimisation.
- Work cross functionally to develop best practice for Transformers designs.
What we're looking for
- An accredited Bachelors or honours degree in electrical engineering.
- Ability to perform manual calculations and use design software to produce the necessary transformer and reactor design.
- FEMM, Electro magnetics.
- Electrical Design of Power Transformer and Reactor for 132k V and 120MVA.
