Join ETA Green Power and help shape the next generation of high-performance electric motors. We’re looking for a Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead the design, integration, and validation of advanced electric machines in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you’ll take ownership of motor design from concept through to production—working at the cutting edge of electrification.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead mechanical design of electric machines (rotor, stator, shaft, housing, bearings)
- Develop air-cooled thermal management strategies and validate real-world performance
- Integrate key components including magnets, windings, insulation, and sensing systems
- Conduct analysis across stress, vibration, rotor dynamics, and thermal behaviour
- Define and deliver test & validation plans (performance, durability, efficiency)
- Lead FMEA, root cause analysis, and design robustness activities
- Collaborate with electromagnetic, controls, and test teams
- Ensure designs are manufacturable, scalable, and cost-effective
- Support customer and internal stakeholders with clear technical communication
What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience in electric motor/mechanical design
- Deep understanding of rotor dynamics, thermal management, and structural integrity
- Experience with validation, testing, and failure analysis
- Ability to translate performance targets into practical engineering solutions
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
