Job Description

The Risk Manager provides second-line oversight of operational and financial risks across esure, ensuring the risk management framework is effectively embedded within the business. This includes supporting teams to identify, document, and manage their key risks and controls, while offering clear, objective advice and constructive challenge on risk-related issues. The role also ensures that key risk processes are well understood, consistently applied, and actively contribute to informed decision-making across the organisation.

What you’ll do:

  • Support delivery of the ORSA process, including stress testing, scenario analysis, and emerging risks.
  • Help define and maintain a fit-for-purpose risk appetite framework.
  • Prepare annual and ad hoc ORSA reports for Board and committee review.
  • Provide second-line risk oversight for Finance, Actuarial, Underwriting, Claims, Pricing, and Procurement functions.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement and report key risks to executive-level committees.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and embed new PRA requirements across the business.
  • Conduct risk reviews, control assessments, and escalate issues with root cause analysis.
  • Champion use of digital risk tools to support esure’s digital transformation strategy.
  • Deliver ad hoc risk analysis, reports, and support for team projects and change initiatives.
