Job Description: Estio Training is thrilled to offer a new opportunity for an IT Support Engineer with AVASK, a business specializing in VAT and Compliance for online international trade.
Role Summary: AVASK is looking for a bright, outgoing IT enthusiast to provide first line helpdesk support to internal staff ranging from the UK, USA, and China.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing 1st line technical support, answering support queries via phone, service desk, and in person.
- Supporting users remotely.
- Maintaining a high degree of customer service for all support.
- Taking ownership of user problems and being proactive when dealing with user issues.
- Logging all calls on the call logging system and keeping call logs up to date.
- Escalating more complex calls to the relevant IT Support member.
- Configuring hardware as required.
Qualifications:
Educational Requirements: 5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent, including English Language and Maths.
Skills Required:
- Good communication skills both written and verbally.
- Knowledge of Microsoft-based operating systems.
- Basic understanding of PC hardware set-up and configuration.
- Willingness to research issues and fixes.
- Flexible and proactive approach.
- Attention to accuracy and detail.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to work under pressure and to a deadline.
