The Test Lane Coordinator is responsible for the efficient planning, coordination, and operation of vehicle test activities. This role ensures all vehicles are prepared, compliant, and processed through the test lane safely and efficiently, while supporting workshop productivity and maintaining high standards of service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and schedule all bookings, including the planning and organisation of test days to maximise efficiency.
  • Operate and manage the test lane on designated test days, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to procedures.
  • Carry out retail voluntary brake tests and multi-point vehicle checks to a high standard.
  • Load and unload retail customer vehicles as required, ensuring safe handling at all times.
  • Prepare and present motor vehicles (MV) for testing, including conducting pre-checks such as lights, air systems, and headlight alignment.
  • Maintain the test lane, ensuring all equipment remains compliant, functional, and in good working order.
  • Attend tachograph training courses and perform tachograph calibrations and checks when the test lane is not in use.
  • Support workshop efficiency by loading and unloading vehicles for PMI brake tests, reducing technician downtime.
  • Conduct road tests when required to verify vehicle performance and safety.
  • Carry out yard movements, ensuring vehicles are positioned safely and efficiently within the site.
