We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Raw Material Sampler to join our Quality Control team. This role is key to ensuring that all incoming materials meet quality and regulatory standards before release to Manufacturing. You will work within a collaborative QC environment, supporting compliance with GMP, safety, and corporate quality expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work as part of the Quality Control team to ensure all laboratory activities meet corporate standards for quality, safety, customer service, and regulatory compliance.
  • Sample and test raw materials against specifications to ensure only compliant materials are released to Manufacturing.
  • Investigate and resolve out-of-specification (OOS) results and non-conformances, implementing effective corrective and preventative actions.
  • Carry out sampling in line with approved sampling plans and within agreed timelines.
  • Perform laboratory testing in accordance with established procedures and specifications, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Liaise with external vendors regarding non-conforming materials and escalate issues within agreed timeframes.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring it is calibrated and compliant with operational and regulatory requirements.
  • Adhere to and promote Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards at all times.
  • Ensure all Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) requirements are met within the laboratory.
  • Support cross-functional projects and continuous improvement initiatives as required.

Qualifications

  • Ability to distinguish colour differences (successful completion of Munsell test required).
  • Strong sense of smell with the ability to detect differences in odours.
  • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive and positive attitude.
  • Strong customer focus, understanding the impact of the role within the wider supply chain.
  • Confident and effective in influencing and communicating with others.
  • Good verbal communication skills, able to convey information clearly and accurately.
  • Clear and accurate written communication skills, including completing documentation and reporting to QA and key stakeholders.
