£29,000 per annum plus performance bonus and fantastic benefits. 40 hours per week across 5 days (shifts scheduled between 06:00 and 18:00). A driving licence is required for this role.
Keep our estate moving – lead the logistics that power The Newt. Our Warehouse Supervisor plays a key role in supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the Estate Logistics operation. Working from our Avalon base, you’ll oversee essential warehouse activities including order picking, packing, deliveries across the estate, goods-in processing and stock control. You will coordinate daily operational tasks, ensuring orders are processed accurately and on schedule while maintaining high standards of efficiency, safety and organisation. Acting as a key link between teams, you will also support continuous improvement within warehouse processes and step in to provide cover for the Assistant Warehouse Manager when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick, pack and deliver orders across the Estate daily
- Allocate daily tasks to team members and monitor operational performance
- Ensure the operational plan is completed on schedule and in full
- Manage goods-in processes including checks, product recording and receipting purchase orders
- Maintain high order picking accuracy and support warehouse KPIs
- Complete stock checks, cycle counts and maintain accurate stock records
- Maintain warehouse hygiene, HACCP documentation and health & safety checks
- Support ecommerce fulfilment operations during peak demand or absence

- Previous experience in a warehouse or operations supervisory role
- Experience using warehouse management or operational IT systems
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills

The Estate Logistics Team is an essential function for the estate, supplying services across all areas of the business from our Avalon base. The main functions of the department are:
- Receiving and storage of all central procurement stock for The Newt
- Management of warehouse stock and storage areas
- Logistics services from food production areas to warehouse and receiving departments
- Processing and fulfilment of supply orders to internal departments
- Processing external purchase orders into the warehouse
Avalon is the operational side of The Newt with a range of functional areas including e-commerce fulfilment, central procurement, butchery, bakery, food production kitchen, commercial produce growing and livestock.
