Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am - 6:00 pm (1 hour lunch)
Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 dependant on experience
About the Role
I am recruiting on behalf of my client, a well-established London Estate Agency at their Property Management centre near Hampstead. They are committed to providing a seamless property experience for both landlords and tenants, offering professional, personalised service and staying ahead of lettings legislation. As Tenancy Manager, you will be a key part of a supportive, proactive team, helping to ensure tenancies run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Move-Ins: Manage referencing, invoicing, Assured Shorthold Tenancies (ASTs), inventories, deposits, and all related documentation.
- Renewals: Negotiate new rents, prepare updated ASTs, and issue invoices.
- Compliance: Conduct AML checks on landlords and tenants; manage rent guarantees and insurance for both.
- Right to Rent Checks: Ensure all tenants meet legal requirements.
- Landlord & Tenant Support: Act as first point of contact for queries, ensuring positive relationships and smooth processes.
- Team Support: Cover for the Property Manager when necessary (repairs, maintenance follow-ups); answer calls.
Candidate Qualities
- Experience in estate agency or lettings, with a solid understanding of the lettings process.
- High attention to detail with excellent organisational skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills; able to deal professionally with landlords, tenants, contractors, and colleagues.
- Patient, positive, problem-solving mindset; friendly and calm under pressure.
- Team player, proactive and collaborative.
- IT literate and quick to learn new systems.
- Knowledge of upcoming lettings legislation changes.
- Must live within easy commuting distance of Hampstead.
Requirements
- Full-time, Monday to Friday, office-based.
- Car/driving licence not necessary.
