We currently have an opportunity for a qualified, professional and competent Van Technician to join our team at our Mercedes-Benz dealership located in Trafford Park!
Responsibilities
- Carry out all scheduled repair, maintenance, servicing work and inspections on vehicles according to the manufacturer's instructions and DVSA standards
- Carry out scheduled MOT preparations
- Diagnose faults using diagnostic equipment and manual checks
- Retrofitting and start-up of accessories and detachable body components
- Perform defined, but also more extensive, assembly work and repair operations in cooperation with and/or under the supervision of Systems Technicians
- Clean and care for customer vehicles and workshop
- Complete service records, maintenance reports and update job cards
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety and DVSA regulations
- Liaise professionally with customers when required
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a Technician/Mechanic role, ideally in a main dealership environment
- NVQ Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance qualification in Light Vehicles (essential)
- Full UK driving licence
- Experience with electric vehicles (desirable)
- Experience with Mercedes-Benz vehicles, products and systems (desirable)
- Attention to detail
- Excellent time management
- Ability to work in a team and independently when required
- Strong communication skills
- Customer oriented approach to work
Package Details
- £19.22 per hour, plus an additional £1.49 per hour Manchester Weighting Allowance
- Up to £300 per month enhancement payment based upon your qualification level
- Based onsite in Trafford Park
- 4 on 4 off shift pattern: 07:00 - 19:00
- 22 days holiday each year, inclusive of bank holidays
- Permanent
