We currently have an opportunity for a qualified, professional and competent Van Technician to join our team at our Mercedes-Benz dealership located in Knowsley!
Our Technicians are an integral part of the team and use their industry expertise to ensure that we keep our customers and their businesses moving by responding quickly and delivering excellent standards of work.
Package Details:
β’ Β£20.89 per hour, plus enhancement payment of up to Β£300 per month based upon your qualification level
β’ Based onsite in Knowsley

Key Purpose of the Job:
β’ Act as an expert for all service work and defined assembly and work of the utmost quality and efficiency, and accordingly promote the brand image with respect to reliability and economy
β’ Defined retrofitting of accessories and preservation work
β’ Support the Systems Technicians in more extensive repair jobs on the overall system
Accountabilities:
β’ Performance of all services according to the manufacturer\βs instructions and according to the schedule/service processor
β’ All visual inspections, adjustment operations, adjustments, operating fluid changes and additions, replacement of worn equipment (e.g. brake linings)
β’ Knowledge of deviations and extraordinary wear occurrences and initiation of order expansions/feedback to customers
β’ Resetting of the maintenance system
β’ Cleaning and care of the customer vehicle
β’ Repair work
β’ Self-reliant performance of simple repairs of worn parts (e.g. replacement of mufflers, outside mirrors, tyres and balancing, etc.)
β’ Performance of defined, but also more extensive, assembly work and repair operations in cooperation with and/or under the supervision of Systems Technicians (e.g. major assembly replacement, suspension strut placement, etc.)
β’ Retrofitting and start-up of accessories and detachable body components
Skills and Competencies Required:
β’ Prior experience in a similar role, in a similar industry or main dealership (desired)
β’ Full Level 3 City & Guilds light vehicle maintenance qualifications required (or equivalent) β certified technician in an automotive service field (essential)
β’ UK Driving Licence (essential)
β’ Analytical thinking β ability to analyses and synthesises a wide range of information in order to draw conclusions or make decisions
β’ Customer orientation β ability to focus on the needs of the customer in the execution of the role and works to deliver customer satisfaction
