Role Overview
Are you looking for a role where you can really make a splash? As a Goods In Returns Processor at VictorianPlumbing.co.uk, you won’t be “tapped” out by picking and packing. Instead, you’ll be the gatekeeper of our returns department. Your mission is to ensure that every returned item—from designer taps to luxury vanity units—is handled with care, inspected with a keen eye, and processed with “porcelain-perfect” precision. You’ll ensure our inventory stays squeaky clean by deciding whether items are ready for a new home or need a little TLC.
Responsibilities
- Receiving and inspecting inbound returns to check for any “leaks” in quality or damage.
- Using our WMS to log returns, ensuring our data flows smoothly.
- Deciding if a product is “Grade A” or if its ship has sailed, categorising items for resale or refurbishment.
- Identifying discrepancies or “murky” returns and reporting them to our Customer Service team.
- Maintaining an organised and hazard‑free workspace, ensuring we never get clogged up during busy periods.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong eye for detail – spotting hairline fractures or missing washers from a mile away.
- Comfortable navigating warehouse systems.
- Reliability and solid work ethic – we’re looking for someone who won’t throw in the towel.
- Physical resilience – happy to be on feet and lift heavy items.
- Clear English communication skills for accurate reporting.
Benefits and Conditions
Full‑time fixed‑term contract until the end of March, with the possibility of a permanent seat thereafter. Monthly attendance bonus of £200 for those who show up and shine. Hours Mon‑Fri 08:30 AM – 05:30 PM. Pay: £19.22 per hour.
