With a base in Perth and clients across mainly Scotland and other locations, ESS Recruit’s client is an industry leading engineering services company delivering top quality structural, mechanical, and electrical projects for blue-chip manufacturers in a range of industries. The company has recently won a significant amount of new work taking them through to the end of 2025 and beyond. To deliver on this, they now need to recruit an experienced Site Project Manager.

The Company works nationwide from its Head Office in Scotland. Travel will be required within the role with site attendance and management. A company vehicle or mileage will be provided, and overnight stays are relatively infrequent.

As Site Manager, you will have the responsibility of ensuring health and safety standards and regulations are complied with as per CDM Regulations 2015 on site. This includes preparation of and approval of Risk Assessments and Method Statements, and monitoring compliance.

Operationally, the role is to manage and supervise all site personnel, make day-to-day decisions relating to coordination of site operations and to track project performance against plan, anticipating and proposing solutions to technical and schedule challenges if they emerge. Communication with the rest of the delivery team, clients, sub contractors and suppliers is a key success factor for the Site Project Manager.

You will be working on projects sector-specific to food and drink, manufacturing and agriculture and be working as part of a team highly regarded for its expertise in devising and carrying out major upgrades and modifications to existing systems, as well as offering a variety of customised contract maintenance packages.

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • CITB – 5 SMSTS Site Manager certificate
  • Main Contractor responsibility awareness/ member of CIOB preferred professional body or similar
  • Black /Gold CSCS Card
  • First Aid certificate
  • Drivers licence
  • Lift Supervisor or Responsible Person qualifications favourable
