About the Role
As a Production Operator you will be responsible for the safe operation of production machinery, manufacturing tissue products according to fixed specifications and standard operating procedures. As part of a shift team, our Production Operators undertake the necessary tasks required to efficiently operate and maintain the manufacturing equipment and process.
What You Will Do
- Work within Company safety standards, ensuring safe practices for yourself and others.
- Operate process and equipment efficiently, maintaining control of the manufacturing process.
- Understand how the equipment operates and carry out CIL tasks, along with basic maintenance.
- Lead small changeovers.
- Order, prepare and install raw materials in line with SOPs.
- Communicate effectively with previous and next shifts and colleagues involved in machine performance.
- Check product quality against specifications, rejecting or blocking where required.
- Maintain high housekeeping standards at all times.
- Complete all required production documentation and data.
- Take on the exciting opportunity to become an Equipment Owner, a role that builds your technical capability and leadership by giving you responsibility for the upkeep, performance and safe operation of a designated machine.
