Overview

As a Shopper Marketing Manager you will focus on building strong, collaborative relationships with colleagues internally and customers externally. You will design and activate customer focused shopper activations and customer engagement sessions to drive retailer and brand growth.

Responsibilities

  • Understand commercial situation and apply effective shopper marketing actions
  • Work effectively in cross functional matrix organisation and projects
  • Measure and steer performance of shopper activations whilst managing budgets
  • Build a collaborative and trusted partnership with customers, agencies and retailer media networks
  • Lead and execute shopper and trade marketing plans
  • Deliver insights-driven trade rationale, programmes and customer engagement
  • Lead and execute shopper marketing plans differentiated by customer and/or channel
  • Define and select the optimal marketing mix (BTL) based on the path to purchase, understand the path to purchase of the shopper in our categories, brand and customer shopper dynamics, the retailer strategy, media toolkits and category vision
  • Build shopper strategies respecting principles for brand, channel and customer, and set budget priorities. Be able to build a plan and roll it out within the Business Planning Cycle in strong alliance with cross functional teams
  • Execute with excellence, internally and externally, across channels and customers. Deliver cut-through campaigns and shopper messaging. Steer agencies, retailer media networks and budgets and share best practices. Lead and deliver impactful customer engagement sessions and presentations
  • Review shopper marketing plans based on agreed KPIs / perfect store execution. Draw conclusion, share learnings and balance monetary / non-monetary promotions together with sales

Qualifications

Who You Are: To achieve success in this role you will need to demonstrate a great understanding of the shopper, sales and/or marketing retail market combined with experience of working with retailers, retailer media networks and shopper agencies across multiple touchpoints and channels. You will be analytical and creative and have experience in leveraging shopper insight with customers in a FMCG environment to build and execute mutually beneficial plans. You will have the courage, passion and creativity to identify opportunities internally and externally seeking to break down barriers. You will lead by example and be an ambassador for Essity, our brands and the Shopper Marketing function.
