We are looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to cover Maternity for a 12-month period at our Willerby site.
As the Senior Financial Accountant you will oversee complex financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, acting as key contact for stakeholders and providing financial insights to support stakeholders' decisions.
What You Will Do- Own the end-to-end General Ledger process: from transactions to final reporting
- Deliver accurate financial statements, reconciliations and complex adjustments
- Ensure compliance with IFRS/local GAAP, internal controls and company policies
- Support and lead internal & external audits with confidence
- Act as a trusted advisor on complex accounting topics
- Drive quality, efficiency and continuous improvement across accounting processes
- Collaborate with stakeholders across a global, matrix organisation
- Coach and support colleagues, strengthening team capability
- An experienced accountant with proven General Ledger experience
- Confident working with SAP (ECC/S/4) and Office 365, particularly Microsoft Excel
- Knowledgeable in IFRS/local GAAP and audit processes
- Detail-focused, analytical and solutions-orientated
- Ability to prioritise, multitask and deliver to tight deadlines
- A collaborative team player with strong communication skills
- A role model for integrity, compliance and business ethics
- Passionate about continuous improvement and developing others
- A professionally qualified accountant with an ACA or ACCA accreditation
- Previous experience gained in a complex, cross cultural matrix organisation
