Are you looking for a permanent role with the flexibility to work shifts? If so, this vacancy at our Prudhoe Paper Mill on our toilet tissue line may be just for you. Our Prudhoe site houses two paper machines and seven converting lines, turning tissue paper into the finished product. This role is based on one of these converting lines, working a 4-on/6-off 4-on/4-off 12-hour shift pattern. With around 400 employees, the site runs 24/7, manufacturing essential products such as Cushelle and Plenty. On shift, you will provide training and coaching where technical assistance is required. At the request of the Team Leaders, you should support priority areas as requested and as skills allow. Your role is to help maintain and improve the day-to-day operational efficiency of area assets by ensuring regular and efficient maintenance is carried out and problems solved to root cause safely, effectively, and quickly to meet business needs. What You Will Do Operate as a member of the production team, running any part of the process as required. Follow Standard Operating Procedures, conduct risk assessments, participate in quality inspections, continuous improvement activities, and regular Cleaning, Inspection, and Lubrication processes. Perform tasks in accordance with site safety practices, attend safety training, and contribute to safety audit systems. Comply with the lock-off isolation procedure (LOTO). Report safety issues to the Team Leader. Ensure on-line quality checks are done with integrity and in a timely manner, taking action as required. Manage the production schedule via on-site systems and coordinate size change and changeover activities. Be present at shift handovers, liaising clearly with colleagues. Complete scheduled maintenance activities for your designated area. Perform machine start-ups and stops, logging problems, breakdowns, and fixes following standard procedures. Who You Are Having gained experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, you will be very focused on safety at work and be a good team player, communicating clearly with colleagues and supporting each other. With a results-focused approach to work, you will be able to follow instructions, take responsibility for your area, and use your initiative to solve technical problems. Educational achievements - minimum NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) in a technical discipline - mechanical and/or electrical.
