About the Role We have a days‑based opportunity for a Mechanical Technician at our Skelmersdale site. You’ll keep our assets running safely and reliably through defined PPM (planned preventative maintenance) and TPM (total productive maintenance) activities, partnering closely with operations to maximise uptime and performance. What You Will Do * Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues using Daily Direction Setting (DDS) and root cause analysis, fixing problems for good * Drive continuous improvement and embed a preventative maintenance culture through condition‑based and precision maintenance programmes * Install and commission new projects that improve efficiency while reducing energy usage and cost * Develop maintenance risk assessments and SOPs; implement effective procedures that meet standards for safety, quality, CILs, and Centrelines * Coach colleagues to build technical capability and enhance the use of online maintenance tools * You will be accountable for KPI’s including breakdown reduction, MTTR/MTBF and budget adherence on your asset(s) of responsibility.
