This is a **day-based role (Monday to Friday)** offering the opportunity to work across a wide range of electrical systems, instrumentation, automation equipment, and continuous improvement projects within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. **Reporting to the Maintenance Leader**, you'll provide technical expertise, support operational performance, and drive improvements that enhance reliability across the mill. As part of the role, you will participate in a **site call-out rota**, providing out-of-hours technical support when required to help maintain safe and reliable mill operations. ### **What You Will Do** * Provide hands-on electrical and instrumentation support and coaching to help resolve equipment and process issues.* Support the safe and efficient operation of paper manufacturing and site utility systems.* Diagnose, maintain, calibrate, and improve instrumentation, control systems, and process equipment.* Participate in daily operational reviews to monitor performance and identify improvement opportunities.* Conduct root cause analysis and GAP assessments to reduce downtime and improve reliability.* Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and quality standards.* Lead and support medium and long-term improvement projects focused on efficiency, reliability, and operational excellence.* Collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to deliver sustainable solutions and continuous improvement initiatives.* Participate in the site call-out rota and provide technical support to minimise downtime and restore equipment safely and effectively. ### **Who Are You?** * A time-served Electrical Technician with a recognised electrical apprenticeship.* Experience within a manufacturing, FMCG, paper, tissue, or process industry environment.* Strong electrical fault-finding, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills.* Experience working with industrial instrumentation, process control systems, drives, and automation equipment.* Ideally experienced with Siemens control systems, PLCs, and industrial automation.* A confident communicator who can challenge constructively and influence others.* A proactive self-starter who works effectively both independently and as part of a team.* Able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.* Willingness to participate in an out-of-hours call-out rota.* Passionate about continuous improvement and operational excellence. **What We Can Offer You** At Essity, you'll be part of a global organisation with a strong local presence, manufacturing trusted hygiene and health products while contributing to a more sustainable future.
