About the role: Ready to use your accounting skills to support a dynamic, international healthcare business? Do you enjoy collaborating across borders? As a Financial Accounting Administrator, you will deliver high‑quality transactional and general accounting services, securing efficient, accurate and timely financial reporting for a group of French medical companies within Essity. You will work closely with colleagues across Europe, supporting month‑end closing, audits and statutory requirements for multiple entities including factories, trading and property companies.
What you will do:
- Month‑end closing & reporting: Execute and support monthly closing activities for multiple French medical entities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting in line with Essity accounting standards and local regulations.
- General ledger & reconciliations: Own selected balance sheet accounts, prepare reconciliations, investigate variances and ensure the integrity of financial data throughout the month.
- Fixed assets & capital: Maintain fixed asset registers, process capital expenditure, depreciation and disposals, and support capital projects reporting for factories and property companies.
- Banking & cash management: Perform bank clearing and reconciliations, monitor cash movements and help secure accurate, up‑to‑date banking and cash records.
- Tax provisions & compliance: Support the preparation of local tax evaluations, provisions and statutory information in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external advisors.
- Audits & stakeholder collaboration: Liaise with internal and external auditors, prepare requested documentation and build effective relationships with finance colleagues across France, the UK and the wider Essity organization.
- Process quality & improvement: Perform quality checks on accounting processes, follow Essity policies and controls, and contribute ideas to improve efficiency and ways of working in a cross‑functional, matrix environment.
Who you are:
- University degree in accounting, finance or a related field, or equivalent professional training that supports strong financial accounting knowledge.
- At least 2 years experience in financial accounting, including month‑end close and balance sheet reconciliations, ideally gained in a complex or international organization.
- Confident working with SAP and Excel, with solid skills in managing data, spreadsheets, reports and reconciliations.
- Diligent, analytical and highly attentive to detail, with strong communication, time management and prioritization skills that help you stay organized and calm under tight deadlines, and you enjoy working collaboratively in a team.
- Fluent in French is an advantage.
