Looking to use your electrical skills in a large-scale manufacturing environment where safety, reliability and continuous improvement really matter?

We are looking for a motivated and committed Electrical Technician to join our day support team at Prudhoe Mill. Working 37.5 hours per week on days, you will provide technical expertise to support the safe, reliable and efficient operation of site assets. You’ll work closely with operational teams, helping to build capability, improve performance and deliver best-in-class manufacturing results. We’re looking for people who live our values and are comfortable challenging the status quo, sharing knowledge and driving continuous improvement.

What You Will Do

  • Carry out planned, predictive and reactive electrical maintenance
  • Diagnose and resolve faults quickly and effectively to minimise downtime
  • Support delivery of key performance indicators (KPIs) and site targets
  • Work independently and collaboratively to deliver robust, long-term solutions
  • Apply your experience of PLC-controlled systems (Siemens and/or Allen Bradley)
  • Work with servo and inverter drives and large-scale industrial machinery
  • Maintain a strong focus on safety and compliance at all times

Who You Are

  • Proven electrical experience within a manufacturing, process or industrial environment
  • A recognised electrical apprenticeship (City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent)
  • Experience maintaining and fault-finding on complex, automated manufacturing systems
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience of panel wiring
  • Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • The ability to plan work effectively and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to work closely with operations
  • Good PC skills (e.g. Excel, Word, Project)
  • An HNC (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering is desirable
